About Me

I'm Dr. Stacey, Welcome to Caritas CPS

I’m Dr. Stacey Lambour — board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, founder of Caritas Counseling & Psychiatric Services, and the author of The Art of Caritas. My clinical work integrates attachment theory, IFS, family systems, and Jean Watson’s caring science into a framework I call Caritas Aligned™: Awareness, Accountability, and Attunement.

I am not a wellness coach with a framework. I am a clinician with a doctoral degree, prescriptive authority, and over a decade of experience sitting with people in the hardest moments of their lives — and I have also done my own work. Both of those things matter.

What I offer is not a quick path to better relationships or a ten-step program for emotional health. It is the real thing: a rigorous, compassionate, clinically grounded practice of learning to choose love — toward yourself and the people in your life — even when, especially when, it is hard.

If you are ready for that — I am here.

What the Work Actually Does

It gives you a framework for understanding why the pattern exists — not as a character flaw but as a survival strategy your nervous system built before you had any other tools.

It builds the conditions for something different. Not through willpower or positive thinking but through the kind of structured, repeated, embodied practice that actually changes how the nervous system responds — to stress, to intimacy, to the moments when the old program wants to run.

It asks something of you. This is not passive care. You will be met with compassion and with honesty in equal measure, and you will be asked to bring both to the work as well.

What becomes possible on the other side is not a perfect life or a guaranteed outcome. It is a life you are actually living rather than managing — relationships you are genuinely in rather than performing — and a Self you recognize when things get hard rather than one that disappears

The Clinical Foundation

This work integrates attachment theory, Internal Family Systems, Bowen family systems, and Jean Watson’s caring science — alongside psychiatric expertise and over a decade of clinical practice. The framework is called Caritas Aligned™: Awareness, Accountability, and Attunement.

It is evidence-based. It is also deeply human. Those two things are not in tension here — they are the whole point.

How Conscious Decision-Making Transforms Your Relationships and Mental Well-Being

Are your relationships happening to you or because of you?

Many people feel stuck in patterns of heartbreak, miscommunication, or unfulfilling relationships. They wonder, Why do I always attract the wrong people? or Why does love feel so hard? The truth is, the quality of our relationships isn’t just about luck—it’s about our choices.

As a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) and relationship coach, I’ve seen firsthand how the decisions we make daily—both big and small—shape our emotional health and connections. If you’re repeating unhealthy patterns, it’s time to shift from reacting to choosing in love and life.

Ready to Begin?

Not because the timing is perfect. It rarely is. But because something in you already knows the current arrangement is costing more than it should.
